A man lay in a Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was fresh out of surgery for the slug that was removed from him and as he awoke, he saw himself surrounded by Santa Clarita Valley Sherrif’s officers. At that point, the man must have realized that breaking into the Castaic home that he did was an immense mistake.
