It speaks to a lack of fear of civilian justice in California’s criminal population that this story even occurred in the first place. A terrible home invasion in Panorama City saw at least 6, that’s right, 6 criminals invade a resident’s home at around 2:00 AM on Thursday, October 26th, but little did they know that this was one of the sadly few number of California homes to be armed themselves.
As the home invaders entered their target house it was mass chaos as several victims were reportedly assaulted and thrown to the ground. It is said that one was even pistol-whipped in the process of the criminals attempting to take over the house.
The criminals, now secure in their ability to pillage began taking items from the home including two small safes and some jewelry.
However, according to police reports and eyewitness accounts, told to Los Angeles’s ABC 7, while that was all happening there was a change in the house’s demeanor from fear to fight as one of the victims decided that enough was enough.
The unnamed home resident grabbed a firearm and began to fire at the horde of criminals still taking their precious belongings.
According to reports, after the shooting started the criminals that were still around made a collective break for it and scurried away into the night.
At this point, the only additional information given out by investigators concluded that the house was specifically targeted prior to this attack, it is assumed that this is due to the family’s history of being involved in the jewelry business.
At the time of this article’s writing, there have been no arrests made with regard to the multiple invaders.
